Guided visit to the Island of Tarifa



Normally you can't access to the "Isla de las Palomas" (Pigeon Island) as a tourist, because it's a military zone with restricted access.

But March 21, 2015 will be an exception: From 11 a.m. there will take place 2 guided visits this normally prohibited place.

The Island of Tarifa is the southernmost point of the Iberian Peninsula. Already 6000 years ago here was a Phoenicians port, whose remains you still can see. Throughout the centuries there were built many military fortifications and each one has left its mark.

Apart from this you can see the lighthouse of Tarifa from near and on the southern side of the Isla de Tarifa there iare many seabirds.

The visit is well worth and as only 50 people are accepted, all interested persons should register early!
